Crochet Flower Necklace





      This necklace is perfect for that little girl you know who loves to play dress-up.


Supplies:
     9.00 mm crochet hook
     5.00 mm crochet hook
     perfect pink worsted weight yarn
     bon bon worsted weight yarn
     * colors are based on Red Heart Super Saver yarn
     stitch marker
     scissors
     ruler
     yarn needle

Abbreviations Used:
     ch --- chain
     Rnd(s) --- round(s)
     sc --- single crochet
     trc --- triple-crochet
     slp st --- slip stitch

Notes:
     --- Be sure to move the stitch marker up as you complete each round.
     --- Any combination of colors can be used to create the flowers for you necklace.



~Pattern~

Large Flower (make 2):
     Rnd 1: using the perfect pink yarn and the 9.00 mm crochet hook, ch 2; 5sc in second ch from hook - 5sts
     Rnd 2: 2sc in each st around - 10sts
     Rnd 3: 3trc in first st, slp st in next st; repeat to end - 5 "petals" created
     Fasten off.
    Repeat Rnds 1-3 to create the second Flower.
    Fasten off; leave a tail for sewing.


Small Flower:
     Rnd 1: using the bon bon yarn and the 5.00 mm crochet hook, ch 2; 5sc in second ch from hook - 5sts
     Rnd 2: 2sc in each st around - 10sts
     Rnd 3: 3trc in first st, slp st in next st; repeat to end - 5 "petals" created
     Fasten off; leave a tail for sewing.


Assembly & Finishing:
     Using the tail of yarn, sew the two Large Flowers together along their outside edge.
     Using the tail of yarn, sew the Small Flower in the center of the Large Flower.
     Cut four strands of yarn about 12-14" long; 2 perfect pin and 2 bon bon.
     Holding all of the strands together, run them through the top of one of the Large Flower petals.
     Tie the ends of the strands together to create the cord.
     Tie off and trim all loose threads.
